Coco Crisp #4
Los Angeles Angels outfielder Ji-Man Choi would have hit his third consecutive home run had it not been for the fleet of foot and determination of veteran Oakland Athletics outfielder Coco Crisp. Running toward the left field wall in Angel Stadium of Anaheim, Crisp made a leaping grab over the wall to rob Choi of his third straight homer, keeping the game tied in the 5th inning, 5-5. Crisp made his presence known at the plate too. In the 7th inning, he laced a clutch double to break the tie, giving the A's a 6-5 lead, sparking them to an 8-6 win.
QUOTE: "Coco is just a veteran that knows how to play the game. He robbed the homer and his hitting. He's like "The Natural" out there. He just goes out there and plays the game and has a lot of fun. It's a lot of fun to watch," said A's teammate Yonder Alonso, on Crisp's solid performance.
FACT: In 2011, Crisp led the American League with 49 stolen bases.
