Mike Trout #27
On his 25th birthday, Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim center fielder Mike Trout made an incredible catch for the ages. In the bottom of the fourth inning with the bases loaded in a tie game, 1-1, Seattle Mariners center fielder Leonys Martin crushed a moonshot to deep center field. Trout displayed his elite defensive skills to go along with his offensive prowess to the fans at Safeco Field when he leaped over the center-field wall to rob Martin of a grand slam.
QUOTE: "Just an incredible catch. I've seen him do that against us numerous times, and I've got to say I'm pretty fed up with it," Mariners reliever Tom Wilhelmsen said.
FACT: On Trout's 25th birthday, he had accumulated more hits than Pete Rose, more runs than Rickey Henderson, more home runs than Barry Bonds, and more total bases than Hank Aaron all had before each of their respective 25th birthdays.
